Three decades passed since the father Hafez Al –Wahesh bombarded the city of Hama mercilessly killing 40,000 while other “civilized” nations stood by watching, sometimes condemning the actions. These were the actions of uncivilized mountainous minority known as the Alwites, who wanted to rule with an iron fist the majority of the civilized Syrians. Their brutalities continued and utter fear hovered over the populous. Fast forward to 2011 when the first peaceful uprising took place in Daraa and was crushed mercilessly by the sons Bashar and Maher Al-wahesh also known as Bashar and Maher Al-Assad. Fourteen months now passed with 10,000 killed and disappeared while the “civilized” nations -again- are standing by, sometimes condemning the actions; while the same minority cult is manifesting in the gestalt of Hitler and Stalin.
There would be no amount of sanctions, no amount of pressure and no amount of verbal condemnations that would stop or even deter the Assad’s brutalities. The minority came to power four decades ago, ruled with iron fist; killed those who dare to criticize, rape others to spread fear, and did what it takes to stay in power. And that’s the gestalt of Assad.
